Administrative Expense Calculations
United Way of North Central Massachusetts works diligently to keep its administrative expenses low. To calculate our administrative expenses we use our IRS 990 form for the calculation of the ratio percentage.
The sum of Management and General (Line 14), Fundraising (Line 15), and Payments to affiliates (Line 16) will be the numerator, and Total Revenue (Line 12) will be the denominator for the calculation.
For our fiscal year ending 2005 our administrative expenses were 17.2%.
